The Natural Advantage
Does your current way of working renew you or deplete you? The Natural Advantage is a pioneering approach to human sustainability at work: applying the principles of organic growth to show you how to achieve results whilst renewing your potential. Includes details about Alan Heeks’ new Book

The Magdalen Project
130-acre organic farm and residential learning centre in Dorset, founded by Alan Heeks, with a focus on sustainability at all levels, including personal, social and environmental.

Mind’s Ecotherapy Research
Ecotherapy is a cost-effective way to improve both physical and mental wellbeing, which is accessible and inclusive. Over the last five years the Mind Charity Ecominds scheme has shown that ecotherapy has a real impact on people’s mental wellbeing, provides access to education and training, increases social connectivity and the enjoyment of community green spaces.

The Men Beyond 50 Network
offers resources to help you enjoy life now, learn new lifeskills, make new contacts, grow through the shipwrecks, and be of service as an elder.

The 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond can be a time of great freedom and growth, a chance to be the man you want to be. So why do many men in these years struggle with depression, loneliness and addiction? Because they need new skills, new vision, and support from other men so they can face problems, re-invent themselves, and enjoy elderhood.

Bridport Cohousing:
plans to create a sustainable, affordable cohousing community in Bridport. Alan Heeks is one of the main people involved.

Threshold Centre, North Dorset:
An established cohousing community aiming for high levels of sustainability, offering regular workshops on sustainable living and cohousing.

Alan Heeks’ website

UK Earth Centre Network
The UK Earth Centre Network was initiated in early 2006 with the aim of “linking every geographical centre in the UK where people of all ages are learning about sustainable living”. These “Earth Centres” have a key role in enabling our society to slow down or stop life-threatening processes such as global warming, whilst improving our quality of life, because they offer people a “hands-on” experience of sustainable living.

GreenSpirit
GreenSpirit is a network of people who celebrate the human spirit in the context of our place in the natural world and Earth’s own evolutionary journey. Our radical vision brings together the rigour of science, the creativity of artistic expression, the passion of social action and the wisdom of spiritual traditions of all ages. Attracting those of many faith traditions, we are a body of people who believe that human life has both an ecological and a spiritual dimension.
